November 27, 201015 yr Hi!I just bought and installed the Voice Commander Edition for the PMDG 737. Everything is set up and double checked the way it is explained in the manual. The PMDG key commands are set to the default values. When the autopilot is off and I command "set heading", "set speed" or "set flightlevel", the correct text appears in the upper green bar showing me that my voice was recognised correctly, but nothing happens. But when the A/P is on and I comment "heading 250", the F/O confirms that correctly as soon as I have dialed in the value. What's the fault, why isn't my F/O reacting to the MCP commands. (all other commands work...)Thanks in advance,Michael
November 27, 201015 yr Commercial Member Hi Michael,It works this way:If autopilot is on: "You" as the Pilot Flying make the changes on the MCP. But you have to announce what you're doing... so what you're hearing is the FO "confirming" that what you did was correct. If autopilot is off: The FO/PNF will set the autopilot as per your voice command.Cheers, B. November 27, 201015 yr Commercial Member Hi Byork!Yes, exactly! But when I am handflying as PF and I am commanding "set heading xxx", nothing happens. Greets,MichaelHi Michael,Does the speech recognition engine detect "heading two five zero" (as shown in the green bar). Also, please take a look at page 37 and 38 in the manual. Also look at Page 11.Don't say "Set Heading"... Just say "Heading ___"From the manual:Heading____ (Hdg roll mode must be active)Speed _____Course_____Flight Level_____ (Make sure Flight Level pronounced distinctly) “ZERO” not “Oh” for Flight Levels: Example: Flight Level Three Three ZeroIf that still doesn't do the trick, double check your PMDG keyboard assignments to ensure they match those required by FS2Crew. November 27, 201015 yr Hi!So far, so good.Re-assignig the key commads did the trick, the MCP commands are working flawlessly. But I have a strange problem left.As soon as I disengage the autopilot (no matter in which way: pressing z, pressing CMD L with the mouse, commanding "autopilot off" with voice), the MCP commands go crazy. When I command "heading xxx" after A/P disengaging, the view switches to VC and the standard keys for changing views (s + shift s) don´t work anymore. The only way to get rid of that, is to cancel the flight and start FS9 again.Any idea what´s messing uo there? Thanks in advance,MichaelP.S: I am using Active Camera, maybe it is related to it in any way...
