FS9 goes black when I select "alt" for menu tab

Featured Replies

Had to reinstall vista ultimate 64-bit and am retweaking my FS9. FS9 loads fine (I have administrator rights and UAC is turned off) but when I click alt while in FS9 to bring up the menu tab--the screen goes black---even though FS9 is still running--I can't alt-tab it back so I have to go to task manager (ctrl-alt-del) to exit. Thanks in advance.Rich Perry

I know there's a tweak out there for vista users so the screen does not go black when you hit alt in FS9--I just forgot what it is. Any help?Rich

See if there is a later version of your video card driver. guru3d.com has all certified and beta drivers for most cards. Follow the download tab. What happens if you force it to windowed mode with alt-enter I believe? That will keep the menu bar up and you can resize the window to almost fill the screen. In FS settings you can set it up to start in windowed mode.As insurance if you are using FSUIPC make sure it is at 3.98 or better. First get the 3.98 (FS9) and install full pack from here:http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.htmland the next level up from here:http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66139-updated-modules-26th-november-2010/
