In need of Urgent Help or Advice

Featured Replies

I'm not sure if this is the right place to come to, however it is the only place that i know that i can get some advice.Recently, whenever i attempt to start my PC (the one i use for FSX) It will just beep 8-10 times and then the fans will just keep running, nothing on the monitor or anything. Please, can someone tell me an easy way to solve the problem, because i am very frustrated and disappointed mainly because i was looking forward sooooo much to buying and fly the NGX. Please, can someone help me?

you'll need to count the beeps, then check this out:http://www.5starsupport.com/info/beep_codes.htm

I'd remove and refit the ram and graphics card first - then see if has the same issue - beep codes are fine if you know what bios you have.John

I highly recommend naming your topic properly. I know alot of people will just ignore topics named like this one. Its a very selfish way to name a topic imo. A better name would be something like "PC wont boot, it just beeps instead". With such a thread name it would be easy for knowledgable people to see the particular problem and it would also make it easier for people with the same problem finding help in the future. I mean, if every thread was titled "NEED URGENT HALP !!!1one" then what would be the point of even having thread titles. Alright, enough of this internet etiquette lessons, this is one of my pet peeves :(

Just to add, a lot of people also visit the hardware forum and there are usually some very helpful and skillful people there who can also help so don't be afraid :(
