Kai Tak

Featured Replies

HiIs there any good FREEWARE scenery of the old Hong Kong airport, Kai Tak for FS9? If not, where can I get hold of the payware scenery by Samsoft?Cheers

Alaister Kay

Not that I know of, but Thomas Kwong who did KT for FS2k has 'work in progress' for a FS9 version. No release date so don't ask ;-)

Vulcan. Didn't you know that Thomas Kwong released it a couple days ago? Then he updated the next day! It's in the Avsim library and the filename is 'vhhh2004b.zip'. It still on the front page of Avsim right now! ;)Cheers,Jim

JimI'm glad you're not my pilot on arrival. The airport that Thomas released recently was Chek Lap Kok, the current Hong Kong airport, not Kai Tak, which closed (except in flightsim, thank God) in 1998.Thomas is, indeed, working on a new Kai Tak for FS2004, we hear; but meanwhile his FS2002 version is workable in FS2004. I don't believe the two payware companies who have produced their versions of Kai Tak for FS2002 have updated them for the new sim as yet.Mark "Dark Moment" BeaumontP.S. Alaistair ... go to my site for links to the payware chaps and a listing of all Kai Tak files on the Internet (that I know of).http://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg
