November 28, 201015 yr Does anyone know if there is a parameter within the cfg file to point the direction of a spotlight, like a tail logo light? I see the three where you can place the origin of the light source, but nothing as to which way the light points. Is that hard modelled within the model file? https://www.mediafire.com/view/dz3buh31pti9cej/BoeingDriverSignature.jpg/file
November 28, 201015 yr Moderator No there is not. The "direction" is controlled by the parameters of the specific .fx file called for. Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

Or is it fixed within the model file of the plane regardless of what type of spotlight is used? https://www.mediafire.com/view/dz3buh31pti9cej/BoeingDriverSignature.jpg/file
November 29, 201015 yr Moderator No, it is controlled by the parameters IN the .fx file (which is really just another text file).See the FS SDK for details on creating and modifying .fx (effects) files.FS9 - SPECIAL EFFECTS SDK - FS2004 Effects.docFSX - SPECIAL EFFECTS SDK - Creating Special Effects Fr.
