December 5, 201015 yr Hello, I have been having some problems with MyTraffic 2010 since I bought it 2 weeks ago. I posted about this on the "other forum" after I bought it, but nobody was able to help me. My problem is that all of the Southwest Airlines 737-700s have the Sea World livery, and not the regular blue one that they should, and this little problem is really bugging me, so if anyone has a solution, that would be great. Also, I bought MyTraffic 2010 at the Avsim Store because it sold if for cheaper than anyone else, but now I know I'm not sure how I'm supposed to get updates and patches for MyTraffic 2010 from there or how to figure out what version of MyTraffic 2010 I have. December 5, 201015 yr Greg4, If you get this to work please let me know! I hate Sea World and Shamu. :( Jim Strattan
December 5, 201015 yr You can update it with the Communicator. Here's the support site. http://forum.simflight.com/forum/7-mytraffic-support-forum/ That is not the support site for MyTraffic 2010, support for that product is supplied by Aerosoft. You can also register the product at the Aerosoft store to receive updates, you do not need to have purchased the product from AS to get support from AS. Cheers, Andy.
December 13, 201015 yr Author Bump. This issue is really starting to bug me again, I just hate seeing all those Shamus! Also, I've tried to register at Aerosoft but it doesn't work, and when I asked Aerosoft, they said to go back to where I bought it from. So I've just about given up on that, but I'm still hoping for a solution to the Shamu problem. Greg Hetherington

You can also register the product at the Aerosoft store to receive updates, you do not need to have purchased the product from AS to get support from AS.According to the AVSIM review of this product, you can use the Communicator program to receive updates and fix issues: http://www.avsim.com/pages/0210/Aerosoft2/MyTraffic.htm . I would also recommend the OP check out the support forum for MyTrafficX as the programs are similar and that's where the actual developer of My Traffic 2010 (Burkhard Renk) runs his forum. This issue might have been discussed there already. You might also look into the process of using the MyTraffic editor where you can modify the AI aircraft. You can also look into the main MyTraffic2010/Aircraft folder and look up the AI aircraft (B737MX) and open the sim.cfg (vs aircraft.cfg for FSX aircraft) and delete the shamu textures. For me, that's the NY Paint 63 (for one, there may be others).Best regards,Jim
December 14, 201015 yr Author I just deleted the file containing the Shamu livery, but all it did was just turned the Shamu planes all black instead. I have to admit though, it almost looks better than the Shamu livery! :( Any other ideas? I've also tried switching the files with the normal livery and the Shamu one, but nothing happened. I'm also curious if I'm the only one with this issue or if all MyTraffic 2010's have this problem? Still can't find out how to get updates, I'm going to e-mail the Avsim Store about it and see what happens. Greg Hetherington

I don't think it was a good idea to delete the file containing the shamu livery. You just created more problems but you can reinsert the MyTraffic 2010 CD and do a repair to fix it. Then you can go into the sim.cfg and remove fltsim paint 63 and renumber the rest so they will all be in sequence, save, and go fly. Did you run the Communicator program as I suggested? Did you check for updates? Did you check the developers website for a possible solution. Just type shamu in the search bar when you get to the developers website. The Avsim Store will not be able to assist you with this issue. Aerosoft or the MyTraffic developer's forum OR this forum are your only recourse.Best regards,Jim
December 14, 201015 yr The MyTraffic X developer's forum is for versions of the MyTraffic X purchased through Sim market only. My Traffic 2010 support is provided by Aerosoft as it is they who get the paid to support the product not Burkhard Renk. If you want support direct from the developer then buy the product direct from the developer at Sim Market. There is nothing stopping you reading the forum though, just don't be asking questions on there as you will be kindly asked to go to the Aerosoft support forums anyway. Cheers, Andy.
December 31, 201015 yr Author Well, I finally discovered how to fix the problem, and its so incredibly simple I just about smashed my head throught the wall thinking why didn't I do this before. To anyone else who has the problem: Go to the B737MX folder and find the folders named texture.My17 and texture.My63 and then open those folders and just swap the six files that are in them.
