December 7, 201015 yr First off, my thanks to ******* for the online tweaks. I have noticed that since using the new FSX.cfg, that when I fly at an accelerated speed like 2x,4x etc. my ground textures just melt into one big blur. No definition of roads trees etc. Is there a line in the FSX.cfg I may change to return my earth textures when flying at accelerated speed? Thanks in advance. Bob G. Bob G.Do you have a FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION value in your fsx.cfg? if so, can you tell me what value it has?
December 7, 201015 yr Author *******. No I don't have that line in my cfg. It would be under graphics I assume. I couldn't find it in my old cfg file either but I did't have my problem with that cfg file. Bob G. Bob G.Bob, send my a PM with the 'link' to the original file. (the link should be at the top of the tweaked cfg)

December 7, 201015 yr Couldn't send you a PM but here is the link. Bob G.You say that with the 'Old' fsx.cfg you DON'T have blurries when using accelerated time? I did a short test, the diff is NIGHT AND DAY from using your old fsx.cfg with that same file tweaked by the tool. I can only but assume this is a hardware related issue because in my hardware I don't experience what you describe. An alternative is to use your fsx.cfg file and simply add this:[bufferPools]RejectThreshold=131072

The difference is like day and night. I thought I had FSX running great until I used the online tweak tool. I assume you mean I could try using my original cfg file when adding the bufferpools? Would I still have the great performance that I do now with your cfg? Thanks again for your time. Bob G. Bob G.Sure, that tweak alone makes a world of difference. It optimizes the ammount of data that gets sent to the video card per frame.. too high and it stutters, to low and you'll loose the benefit of having dynamic vertex buffers queuing data. Good values range from 128KB to 512KB the one I sent is 128KB which is 131072 bytes. Let me know how it goes, we can add tweaks one at a time and see which is causing blurries for you.
December 7, 201015 yr Bob,When you have the time, submit your fsx.cfg to the tool one more time. I did a change and I want to know if you notice any diff with blurries now when using accelerated time.

I did try adding the BufferPools to my old fsx.cfg. FPS went down and I still had the same problem. It almost like the GPU can't keep up with drawing the textures. I can go to spot view and I can see a definate line from where the textures get all blurry and to where it is fine. I am running external frame limiter at 30 if that makes any difference. I did do another online tweak after installing my old fsx.cfg and every thing runs just great with the exception of the accellerated time and textures. Your tweak settings make a big improvement and the external frame limiter adds even better performance. Where do you recommend the Vert Sync be set?Bob G. December 7, 201015 yr Author So the Vert.Sync would have nothing to do with my problem?Bob G.
