I am having trouble getting the 747 to fly

Recommended Posts

Hi I was wondering what is the best panel settings in order to get it to fly. For example is 10 % flaps reasonable or is there a patch that I can download from the avsim file library that will make it easier to fly so that she does not keep stalling? And what is the best way to make an ILS landing. I have auto landed it once but she does not always tune the localiser automatically I have found? Thankyou for your time Graeme

Hi there have you checked to see if you clicked on the configuration manager to 747-8i + 747-8iF? My 7478i works ok plus the ILS works when landing automatic when you tune in the frequency for the runway it's done auto by the FMC. there is a bug though you might experiance that the nose goes slightly up a down on cruse flight. You can not click on 747-400x and the 7478i will cause proformance problems. Click on 747-8i a 7478iF the confirurations should work ok. It works on mine.

What's important is to ensure that you haven't overloaded the AC with fuel, cargo etc. Flaps 20 would be an acceptable setting and ensure that you have engine/wing anit-ice in cold clim's. There is a secret click-spot for TO/GA beside the autothrottle arm switch (screw to the left). Advance your throttles to full and press TOGA and you should be ok. As for autoland it will work if you have set your FMC properly LOC first, when established press APP.Goodl luck.
