December 13, 201015 yr I'm frustrated with ASE. I have had Active Sky and ASE for some time. I downloaded SP2 last week. Last night I am on takeoff roll from 9R using Sunskyjet KPHL. Weather is correct, cloudy, overcast and rain. Halfway thru the takeoff roll It goes right to clear no rain and no clouds. Then after takeoff about 3 miles from the end of the runway the weather goes back to clouds and rain. What is the problem? What can be done to fix it?
December 13, 201015 yr Author Hi,Was ASE doing some updating at the time?Jim,No it wasn't. I started FS in ASE. I restarted the flight twice and all three times it was the same exact thing. Halfway down the runway it went from overcast and rain to clear and plenty of stars then 3 miles out around 3000 ft it was back to overcast clouds and rain.
December 13, 201015 yr Hi,FS9 or FSX?If FSX what Depiction Mode being used? What is Sunskyjet, an addon for that airport?

December 14, 201015 yr Moderator Jeff, not to horn in on your topic, but I have gotten similar things happen to me as well using the FSX version and Smooth Clouds. Sometimes I even have it raining/snowing in one area of an airport and not in other parts, or I will be landing in bad visability then as I am rolling down the runway it the visibility will go from next to nothing to 10 miles. Its truly frustrating sometime to have it happen when ASE isn't in the middle of an update. I mentioned to Jim a few threads down http://forum.avsim.net/topic/320302-new-versionbuild-642-causing-some-problems/ and am waiting on a reply from him as well. December 14, 201015 yr Jeff,Just disable that one scenery in FS9 and then try and see what happens. Don't uninstall, just un-check the entry in the scenery library and then restart FS. Please report back when you have some results, either positive or not positive.cm,As I posted in that other thread in reply #21 I said I wasn't going to continue to mix up a number of things in that one thread and asked for new threads, such as this one to be started. We want to help in all cases, but it is too hard with multiple issues in the same thread. I will be glad to help, if you will start a new thread telling me of your observations from your post #22.
