December 14, 201015 yr Hi all.For a while I have not been able to fly over the pond. When I set up a flight plan from JFK to Heathrow and for that matter anywhere on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean the fligjht plan points me in the opposite direction. In other words I have to cercum navigate the planet to get to London lol. Can anyone point me in the right direction or tell me what's causing the problem please.............John

Here is a flight I found on flightaware.com with the following route:BETTE ACK TOPPS N173B FOXXE NATY PIKIL NATY SOVED REVNU BAKUR UN546 STU UP2 OKESI Y3 BEDEKUsing a free flight planner like simroutes.com under "Generate Routes" I get this:So as you can see you are flying eastbound and not all over the globe.I have been using FSBuild to build my routes, you can use simroutes as it is free but I like to have the latest AIRACS installed into all my databases, but it is not necessary. In the end I think the default FS planners are somewhat limited and offer no support for SID/STAR inclusions. \Robert Hamlich/

December 29, 201015 yr Hi,You can use the FS9 flight planner, but it's a two step process. You must first create a GPS direct flight plan, and then add any desired waypoints manually. Just drag the red line to the desired waypoint.Hope this helps, Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
