December 21, 201015 yr I've just got AES and have not used it yet but I have one question regarding the Follow Me car and use with RCv4. It says you have to select a gate once landed for the follow me car to take you to. Is it possible to select a gate with RCv4 so that it will be free of AI aircraft? What does ticking the Gates box in the options menu do? Andy S
December 21, 201015 yr In version 4 selecting a gate preflight only announces that gate when contacting ground after landing. No interaction with AI to keep it reserved. In FS9 or FSX by using an appropriate airport facilities editor such as ADE9X or AFX (Afcad can occasionally damage some add-on scenery) one trick to reserve a gate from competing AI is to assign it a very small radius less than aircraft at that airport. AI should stay out of it. I don't think it will affect AES follow-me cars selecting it. Perhaps some AES airports are already designed to eliminate conflict. If you have a fully registered FSUIPC for at least FS9, check its manual for FSX, you have the "traffic zapper" function you can assign to a hot key. It will delete an AI within certain width of range in front of an aircraft. Not realistic but . . . It's also used for "stuck" AI in front of you.Version 5 will operate totally differently.
