Good Munich and Dulles freeware scenery?

Featured Replies

I was wondering if there were some nice freeware sceneries for Munich Intl. and Washington-Dulles Intl. I saw a couple, but they were old and with no jetways.

I was also unable to find a really great model of EDDM, but then I found the Aerosoft software package. Yes it's payware, but I feel well worth the investment.Tom

For Munich, search flightsim.com for mun04_11.zip. Visually pretty good although not perhaps quite up to the standard of the best freeware. I also had to edit the AFCAD file to fix a couple of issues (missing ILSs and un-named taxiways) but it doesn't take long. For Dulles, http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=84796&CatID=fs2004scen is the one to go for IMO.

I've taken myself a tour of the KIAD file, and although Jim Campisi has, as always, done an awesome heck of a job so far, some details, such as the static or AI ground vehicles, and the custom buildings themselves, are quite bland IMO. But nonetheless it's decent for freeware. Dave.
