December 24, 201015 yr Hello PMDG, Merry Christmas, I was enjoying my flight from KLAS to KLAX on the Rivvr2 Star to 25L, I got about 5-7 nautical miles from the threshold, and I got a CTD with the fault TCAS2v7.dll which ended in a Crash to Desktop, I use Ultimate Traffic 2 which is fully updated, and this has happened only to the MD-11 and its happened more than once with the same fault always on final approach. What should I do please don't say uninstall and re-install the jet. This is FSX SP2 with Acceleration. December 24, 201015 yr Press ctrl+shift+T before you get to Final Approach. This will remove all traffic, and let you narrow down to what application is causing the problem.Let us know how that goes. Adrian Burley London, UK
December 24, 201015 yr Author The thing is, is that, I did do that as I saw an RA happening in front of me, and a bit later I got the CTD, but this happened either way, Control Shift T, or just flying with the conflict. Ok, so traffic is off. Are you landing at at an airport with third party scenery? And, does the CTD happen before or after you capture the glideslope? Is it always the same airport? And, i know this will sound strange - but i notice you clocked your CPU above 4Ghz. I have seen a few people with problems after they pass the 4Ghz mark. Take it down to 3.8Ghz and see what happens. I KNOW it sounds weird, but give it a try. Adrian Burley London, UK
December 24, 201015 yr Commercial Member Are you landing at at an airport with third party scenery? And, does the CTD happen before or after you capture the glideslope? Is it always the same airport? This used to happen to me a while ago. I would fly up to Bodø using Norske Flyplasser (for FS9...miss it in FSX...really do) and every time, as soon as I got in range and it loaded the scenery, it would CTD. I finally ended up reformatting my computer and re-installing everything, but not after I spent my time thinking it was the PMDG 737, and reinstalled all their aircraft. Should've done more intelligent troubleshooting by choosing another aircraft first. Oh well.So yes, my guess is scenery. Kyle Rodgers
