Carenado C172N Skyhawk navigation lights

Featured Replies

I have just bought and installed the C172N Skyhawk which I find a good representation of the real aircraft, and better than Microsoft's effort in many ways, BUT, after 'flying' it a few times I notice an irritating fault - the port wing navigation light shines through the wing tip when in the virtual cockpit. Once noticed, your eye tends to be drawn to it whenever you fly. Please does anyone know how to fix this bug? Do I need to alter any CFG files, and which ones?I haven't been able to find a patch on the Caenado website.

I´ve also bought the C206 from them. Get the same problem with the nav light in VC, but I don´t have any clue how to fix this. It´s somehow weired, but I think I can live with it, don´t wanna fix this on my own, cause I´m not supposed to do such things, maybe the guys from Carenado can do this

Best regards, Steffen

This is a "bug" in FSX and has nothing to do with Carenado. All planes, whether payware or default, have this issue.

Not all planes have this problem. Ones where the lights are built into the model usually don't have this problem. The old "cfg" style lights do though.
