January 6, 201115 yr Unfortunately use of a 32-bit OS is the problem. You really need to be on a 64-bit system. Try:1) Open a command prompt with Administration rights. You find the command prompt box under "Programs-Accessories-Command prompt" 2. Right Click the command prompt and select "run as administrator". 3. Enter in the box at the prompt, you can cut and paste. bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVA 2560 then hit enter . 4. Reboot Also ensure your page file is set to system managed. Also defrag. January 7, 201115 yr Author Thanks friend for the advice, but what does mean "bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVA 2560". What will happen with this modification, also I don't understand this "Also ensure your page file is set to system managed" Thanks for your time !!! Nibaldo Soto A.
January 8, 201115 yr Thanks friend for the advice, but what does mean "bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVA 2560". What will happen with this modification, also I don't understand this "Also ensure your page file is set to system managed" Thanks for your time !!!It gets a little complicated to explain but in simplistic terms:A 32-bit operating system (OS) is limited to using 4GB of memory. It then gives 2GB of memory to programs and 2GB to the system. From the 2GB it is going to give your program it takes some away for the video card (about 1/2GB).This only leaves you with about 1.5GB for the program. If the system goes over 1.5GB you get OOM error.2GB = 2048 MB so your programs get 2048MB and the system gets 2048MBTo try to prevent the OOM error you want to give your program more memory. So instead of 2048MB you are giving it 2560MB by using the bcedit command. If you want to set it back to 2048 (default) just enter the command using 2048 instead of 2560.Don’t use more than 2560.A 64-bit operating system works entirely different. A 64-bit system gives full 4GB memory to the program and full 4GB to the system. That is why you should be on a 64-bit system because then you are giving 4096MB to FSX and still leaving the system with 4096MB.Even though you have 6GB RAM a 32-bit program like FSX can only use 4GB even if you were on a 64-bit OS.Do not use the bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVA 2560 with a 64-bit system.http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff542202.aspxYou really need move to W7x64Don't worry about your page file, if you didn't change it it is ok. January 17, 201115 yr That is shows 3.24GB is completely normal too, since it's 32bit. It's completely without any sense to run 6GB system with a 32bit OS. You need to reinstall.

It hurts my brain every time I have to think about that stuff. So nice to have a 64-bit OS and not have to worry about it. I am hoping that in another year to have completely forgot it. :( Regards,Gary Andersen HAF932 Advanced, ASUS Z690-P D4, i5-12600k @4.9,NH-C14S, 2x8GB DDR4 3600, RM850x PSU,Sata DVD, Samsung 860 EVO 1TB storage, W10-Pro on Intel 750 AIC 800GB PCI-Express,MSI RTX3070 LHR 8GB, AW2720HF, VS238, Card Reader, SMT750 UPS.
