installing FSX

Featured Replies

Hi all, I would like to install FSX outside of Program files(x86)but I am having a problem doing that. When I install the first DVD from the gold edition, It doesn't give me the option of installing in a different location. It will only install it into program files (x86). It runs OK in this file until I start adding aircraft. The Captain sim 707-300 does not run well at all. EZCAM is also a problem, very jumpy. The A2A Cub runs great. My computer: C drive capacity is 691GB,free space with FSX removed,455GBsystem: vista 64 bitprocessor: intel®core2 quadcpu: [email protected] 2.67GHZmemory: 4.00GBI have had this computer for about two and a half yrs and it runs great with fs9. Thanks for your ideas!Doug

It has been awhile since I last did it - but if memory serves you have to select the "custon" installation option. That should give you the option to select the install path you wish to use.
