January 9, 201115 yr I am hoping that someone can help me in resolving an issue that I have been noticing in terms of visibility on the ground. I am not sure if it is an ASE issue, but somehow I think that it is related. I am running ASE with a registered version of FSUIPC with FSX and most sliders open widely as I have a very updated and powerful computer. The issue is very noticable from the spot view, but somewhat also from the sides of Virtual Cockpit view. What happens is that the scenery direcly under and around the plane for several miles is very different in texture and visuals from area further away. This difference seems to follow the plane as it moves in seeming boxes as the plane flys. For example as I get closer to a point, the ground at that point changes and then resorts back as I fly away from it. This does not seem to happen within areas of photorealistic scenery (Megascenery) but seems to happen in areas outside of it.Does anyone have any ideas here? ThanksBob

ThanksBobSounds like you have your settings too high. Hit the pause key - if the scenery under the a/c changes, turn some settings down. However. some difference is normal. The LOD setting in the cfg file controls a circle around the aircraft where the scenery is more detailed. This circle will move with the a/c so if you see no change with the pause key - it's the LOD and it's normal. The default LOD is 4.5 - you can try kicking it up if your system will handle it. Note that the LOD will always reset to 4.5 if you make any changes to fsx.cfg file after that.Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
