January 10, 201115 yr I would like to know if installing FS9 or FSX in a file separate and away from the 'program files' folder would have any adverse effect or is installing in the program files absolutely essential? Thank youDonald Leaton
January 10, 201115 yr Always avoid installing it into Program Files! Especially on Vista and Windows 7, installing into Program Files can only give you problems. UAC can be very restrictive on what you can and cannot install and it might even disable gauge files that get installed, thus resulting in dysfunctional aircraft. It doesn't have to happen per se, but if you can avoid it, why not avoid it?
