Implementing Aeroworx B200 Altitude Alerter gauge in B1900D

Featured Replies

Good day, I am a licensed owner of both the PMDG 1900D and the Aeroworx B200. After taking a hiatus from both aircraft for a few years to concentrate on the flight1 C172R, I've recently gone back to flying the 1900D. I'm presently doing a few panel upgrades (already re-installed the Reality Xp Jetline 2 package). I also installed a nice GPWS gauge found here on Avsim. To further add to the realism, I tried to install the altitude alert gauge from the Aeroworx B200 in place of the KingAir!Altimeter_Selector that comes standard with the PMDG B1900D. However, I'm guessing that the Aeroworx gauge is hard coded into the autopilot of the King Air, since it won't allow me to adjust the vertical speed selector on the altimeter gauge of the PMDG B1900D in either the flight director or autopilot modes. Can anyone suggest a workaround to this issue, or better yet, recommend a simple altitude alerter that I can implement in the PMDG 1900D that functions similar to that of the Aeroworx B200 gauge (would be nice to hear that chime when within a 1000 feet of your preselected altitude). Thanks.Jermaine Clarke

Hi Jermaine,You guessed correctly - the altitude alerter is tied to the AP, and therefore won't integrate well with the B1900. Not sure if there is anything out there with the chimes etc. I could be wrong. Maybe someone else can chime in (no pun) if they know of such a gauge?

Cheers,

Henning
