  1. Hi Evan, The FE suggests to leave 120 lbs as safety measure to correct for gauge error. It is advisable that you have more fuel in the inboard tanks vs. the outboard tanks to prevent high wing loading. In other words, best practice is to equalize your main tanks.
  2. Hi Rob, Could you point me to the page where the 'auxiliary blower light' is mentioned? Thanks! EDIT: I found it. Will correct. It is in fact, or should be, VOLTAGE REGULATOR OVERHEAT warning light.
  3. Hi Evan, I am busy testing your scenario at the moment. Currently set up exactly as you described, with engines 1 & 2 feeding from Main2 and engines 3 & 4 feeding from main3. X-feed levers are in the 1-2/3-4 positions respectively. Tanks 1 and 4 are off (most aft position). See attached pic. So far I am not seeing any issues. I will keep flying and monitor this.
  4. Hi there Stefan, I will be answering your question re. the fuel distribution. Tell you what - let me have a chat with Sam (our DC-6 Flight Engineer who consulted on this project) hopefully tomorrow, latest Monday (it is weekend after all). I will discuss your questions with him and then get back to you with good information.
  5. Craig, The DC-6B will come equipped with a Sperry A-12 autopilot.
  6. In your FMS, go to PMDG Setup->Aircraft->Equipment. Use 'NEXT PAGE' or 'PREV PAGE' to go to WARNING SYS page [9/9], and set 'RESETTABLE SIREN' to 'YES.'
  7. Please check pg. 64 of the Pilot’s Tutorial, as well as pg. 71 of the Pilot Introduction document.
  8. The DC-6 was fitted with either a Pioneer PB-10 or Sperry A-12 automatic pilot. We are modeling the Sperry A-12 (which is fitted in V5-NCG ).
  9. This time high over Oanob Dam...
  10. Hi Eberhard,The low and over with gear up was taken at Eros. The landing is either at Sossusvlei or Oanob (can't remember.)Low level over Oanob Dam:
  11. Nice pics Alexander. Here are a few of V5-NCG:
  12. Rest assured, the V5-NCG livery will be included.
  13. We are planning on adding both the cargo and fire bomber variants.
  14. Hi Jermaine,You guessed correctly - the altitude alerter is tied to the AP, and therefore won't integrate well with the B1900. Not sure if there is anything out there with the chimes etc. I could be wrong. Maybe someone else can chime in (no pun) if they know of such a gauge?
  15. Hi David,I spent some time today flying several departures out of and approaches in to EGPH. The EDN ADF (freq. 341.0) worked flawlessly throughout. I dialed in both ADF1 and ADF2 on EDN and the needles on the RMIs responded exactly as expected, as well as the needles on the EHSI. Are you 100% sure that you set up the RMIs and EHSI correctly? I know this is a rudimentary question, but I have to ask so that we ensure that we're checking all possibilities.
  16. Paul,Based on the items that are looking funny, it is definitely a broken SP2 install (the lack of FSX's ability to interpret the SPB files). Make 100% sure that your SP2 installation is not corrupt. You probably need to re-install it by the look of things.
  17. Yunus,As I said above - if you are having issues with the *.spb files (gauges), it means that something is wrong with your FSX SP2 installation. The best would be to re-install SP2 and see if that fixes the issue.
  18. Yunus,Do you have FSX SP2 installed, and if so, are you 100% sure that your SP2 install is not corrupt? The gauges listed are in fact *.spb files, and require SP2/Accelleration to function correctly.
  19. The location of the go-around button can be seen on page 492 of 543 in PMDG_J41_AOM.pdf (Ch0811:66).As for the function/operation:11.Go-Around (GA)Momentary operation of the GA switch on the left POWER lever causes the FCC to engage the GA mode and cancel all other selected modes. The FCC produces commands to achieve a wing level, approximately 8 deg pitch up.If autopilot is engaged when GA is selected it will be disengaged.Selection of any lateral mode commands lateral guidance, but maintains the pitch angle. Selection of a vertical mode cancels the GA mode.
  20. Wycliffe,E-mail Support at our main Technical Support email address ([email protected]) and one of us will answer you by email.
  21. The doors won't open if engines are running.
  22. Are the engines running?
  23. Hi,Please sign your posts with your real name as per the forum rules. With regards to your problem - are you 100% sure that you have FSX + SP2 installed? This sounds like you either don't have SP2 installed, or it might be corrupt.Let us know.
  24. Hi Henk,That's not looking good. Any news on the crew? Thanks for keeping us posted.Groete daar!
