  1. Ok - i'll go change some settings and report back. Surely a real FMC coupled autopilot wont allow the aircraft to go into a 80deg bank and slide?!
  2. Hi all,I hope you guys can help me. I do most of my FSx flying in the PMDG737 but lately i have noticed a strange issue. When I fly i always use Real Weather (REX) and at random the aircraft starts to bank - either left or right - the bank angle aural warning sounds and the aircraft just keeps on going into a steeper bank. The aircraft would then over correct to the other side and this back and fourth turning would continue until the aircraft stalls and nose dives. The only way to correct it is to clear the weather or fly by hand.Any ideas?
  3. Getting 190 to 200kb/s down here in the bottom end of Africa
  4. It is very good. The delivery time depends on issues like space availability etc on aircraft. I would buy the manuals if i could arrange my own freight :(
  5. Ryan there is perhaps another option you could suggest to the printers. Perhaps get the client to arrange his own collection of the freight. I own an import and distribution company and we get fantastic rates with DHL Global Forwarding. Yes it will be shipped as normal airfreight (not 3 day express) and take up to 14 days to get to me but it is up to 80% cheaper than using an express freight option.
  6. From the CAA report. Full report can be found here: http://www.caa.co.za/resource%20center/accidents%20&%20incid/reports/2007/8383.pdfDuring a take-off from Runway 01 at FACT, the right-hand engine separated from the wing.Following the engine separation, the aircraft continued to climb. The captain declared anemergency and his intention to land back on Runway 01. The aircraft was cleared for landingback on Runway 01 by ATC. The crew executed an uneventful single-engine approach andlanded on Runway 01 at the aerodrome of departure. The engine investigation revealed that the separation was as a result of the failed aft cone bolt, the outboard front cone bolt and the engine secondary support assembly. The aft secondarysupport was not recovered for examination. The abovementioned failures resulted in the engineseparation from the right-hand wing. All recovered failed components were subjected to a metallurgical analysis which revealed thatthe aft cone bolt had failed as the result of fatigue. The fatigue failure was attributed to theprobability of incorrect installation (under-/over torque). The front outboard cone bolt and frontengine support structure failed in overload as the engine swung forward and sideways during thesequence of the engine separation.Probable CauseRight-hand engine separated due to the failure of the aft cone bolt as the result of a pre-existingfatigue crack which was most likely caused by incorrect installation of the cone bolt.IARC Date
