January 12, 201115 yr Hey gang! I attempted to install the FlyTampa KSFO into FS9 (Win 7, 64bit). Things didn't seem to work so, I uninstalled it. Anyhow, both while it was installed and after un-install, I get this message on startup:SCENERY,CFG file error. Invalid remote scenery path in scenery area.038.Here's what the .cfg file says for that area:[Area.038]Title=Addon SceneryLocal=Layer=38Active=TRUERequired=FALSERemote=Is it missing info? I haven't done a full test but, this "error" does not seem to affect anything. However, I want to get it fixed.P.S. Any ideas on how why I'm getting purple blocks on FlyTampa KSFO? I attempted deleting and re-installing a couple of times.
January 12, 201115 yr Hello,Dunno how you installed Flytampa KSFO ...On my install it's show as:[Area.398]Title=FlyTampa-SanFranciscoLocal=Addon Scenery\FlyTampa-SanFranciscoRemote=Active=TRUERequired=FALSEThe bold letters are your concern P.S. Any ideas on how why I'm getting purple blocks on FlyTampa KSFO? I attempted deleting and re-installing a couple of times. No a foggiest idea :)Regards.Gus.
January 12, 201115 yr Thanks Gus. However, my goal is to keep FT KSFO off my system for now. So, wanna get my .cfg to "normal" and eliminate the error message stated above.
January 12, 201115 yr [Area.038]Title=Addon SceneryLocal=Layer=38Active=TRUERequired=FALSERemote= One of the red entries must have a path in it, typically for Addon Scenery you would have- Local=Addon SceneryEdit your scenery.cfg and see if it fixes the error message. This all assumes that you do have a folder named "Addon Scenery" in your main FS9 folder and in "Addon Scenery" there is a folder named "Scenery".Also, if you have a newscenery.cfg start the sim and shut it down before editing the scenery.cfg.As far as the purple blocks goes, I would guess you have a demo version installed.regards,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
January 12, 201115 yr Hello, Thanks Gus. However, my goal is to keep FT KSFO off my system for now. So, wanna get my .cfg to "normal" and eliminate the error message stated above. That's is simple :)Go in your scenery library and desactivate the faulty sceneryAnd for be certain ..with FS2004 stop:Erase (delete) the faulty entry in the scenery.cfgStart FS2004 and you will not have again the errorRegards.Gus.
January 12, 201115 yr JOE! THAT'S IT! Thanks a ton. I figured something was missing. January 12, 201115 yr Next time, go with Gus's suggestion: all you forgot to do was deactivate it and/or delete it in the Scenery Configuration utility in FS9. Smooth Skies! -- Chuck B.
