Featured Replies

Hello,I'm planning a new rig (i7 2600K based) and cannot choose between theses cards! Here are th best prices here in switzerland for each card (convert in USD):- GTX460 (1GB): 200$- GTX470:265$- GTX480: 420$- GTX570: 410$- GTX580: 619$So, regarding theses prices and the performance of theses different cards in FSX, what is the best choice for me (I' 99% sure that I will not buy the 580, too expensive!)many thanks for your help

Florian

If you want to run high resolution + large amounts of AA then you shouldn't settle for anything less than a 480/570, IMHO. If not, any of those cards will be just fine.

What resolution are you running at?

I'm on a 22'' with 1680x1050!

I would probably go with a 570 then. The 480/580 really spread their wings (no pun intended) at 1920x1200/2560x1600 (with emphasis on the 2560x1600).The GTX 570 should be jhust fine at that res. with some poretty high levels of FSAA. If you plan on going NV Surround later, you should go with the GTX 480 or GTX 580 (I personally would go with the GTX 580).Hope this helps.

thanks, I think I will go on 570GTX, it's sufficient for FSX at this resolution!
