A theory....

Hi. I'm Frank and I have a PMDG addiction.[say: "Hi Frank!"]Ever since PMDG announced the NGX (mid 2009 or something), I check the PMDG forum here on Avsim at leastonce a day, but most days I get to the count of 3.Since 2 months, the PMDG Facebook page is added to my daily routine of checking the status of the NGX. Even during my summer holiday, in the heat (115F)of Death Valley, I managed to satisfy my addiction. All this checking made me thinking. Could it just be that the internet providers (especially those providing mobile services) have made a lucrative contract with PMDG? So for every time someone looks at the PMDG forum or the Facebook page, PMDG is paid by the internet provider. Let's say PMDG gets 1 cent per view. The "The View Forward" with close to 550.000 views alone would then generate 5500 dollar.I don't know the amount of views the General Forum alone gets, but it would surprise me if it is in the neighbourhood of 100.000 threadviews per day. That's 1000 dollars per day on the General Forum. Now add to that the Facebook page views and Robert, Vin, Ryan and the other PMDG-crew members have a very nice moneyflow created for themselves. At first, I thought it would all resolve around Avsim's Tom Allensworth, but there I'm missing the link to Facebook.Or could it be Tom's daughter is married to Marc Zucker (or what's his name)....Yeah... that's it! It's not the internet providers.... It's Tom who's paying PMDG to keep us all in this endless loop of checking the forum and getting hurt by not finding any new news...Sigh....Yeah, I know... I'm bored and I need to get a life :(

Interesting theory, but I would have thought that AVSIM and PMDG would be paying the ISP's for eating up all their bandwidth! :(

Everyone was kindly asked to quit talking about this but yeah, you had to make a thread lol...I'm also checking every day and I am also not pleased by the lack of updates but PMDG has now explained it to us. There's more in life than the PMDG 737 and I have now also found out so just be patient =)

This is ridiculous. Any further threads about the release date, crazy theories like this, etc are getting deleted without comment.
