Virtual Cockpit messed Up

Recommended Posts

Ok, so this has been bugging me a while and a quick search didn't find anything. On my VC a variety of things are missing, but not all at once. Sometimes the panel is complete, but it appears to be completely at random. Here the FMCs are gone and the panels are black. It's too bright to be sure but I think the Virtual Cockpit has that wierd lighting problem. The panels are here, but even with the dome light on, the throttle quadrant and com panel are dark. Any advice would be appreciated. Here you can see the light problem is present and the panels are black.

Eric, my VC corruption (has only happened once) was fixed by a uninstall and then reinstall of the 747X. Remember to uninstall all your liveries before you uninstall the aircraft. You might try running the repair option that the installer has to see if that works first.

Will do. Do I uninstall liveries before repairing? EDIT: Doesn't matter anymore. It didn't work with liveries so I'll be uninstalling all liveries anyway.

Ok, I fixed it. There might not have been a real problem because I recall it now only happening in the DAL repaint I got from AVSIM. After uninstalling every single livery I had (I had all the PMDG ones :( ) I found on AVSIM that there was a lighting fix for the VC on that paint. You never know, but I think thats what was causing it. Now I have to reinstall the PMDG liveries. This'l be a long process.

AHA! Thanks for your post. I had this same problem and thought it might have something to do with my 747-8 installation. But alas, I too was using the Delta repaint. Back to flying the old NWA colors now. :( -Chris
