Airport Text

Featured Replies

I recently downloaded the "Andrews,_Langley_and_Holloman.zip" AFCAD2 file from AVSIM. No problems adding the AFCAD bgl's but am having a problem understanding the following text in the readme:ADD THESE 3 Lines to the Airport text.KADW,N38* 48.66'W76* 51.81'280KHMN,N32* 51.01'W106* 06.21'4093KVPS,N30* 28.83'W86* 32.13'87Can someone tell me exactly what file the Airport text is located in FSCOF?Thanks for any assistance.Jim Young

I would assume that it is the "Airport.txt" file that is extracted from the traffic.bgl file by TTools. So those entries would need to be made to "Airport.txt" then TTools compiler would have to be run. R-

Thanks RonB49. Believe you're right on. I'll try that.Jim Young

If you use the airport collector utility in TTools, you just use the file from that and don't have to worry about editing airport.txt unless a new airport is created from scratch.scott s..

Hi. See my post that is here in the forum in reference to this download. In the readme he says to add KVPS to the airports.txt file. KVPS is Eglin AFB, and the coordinates correspond to that airport. I wonder if he meant KLFI which is Langley? I see that the coordinates given are slightly different than the coordinates already in FS2004. I don't know if we should add these coordinates and if so will they overwrite the exising coordinates? Maybe Dave will see this post and my other post and let us know. Unfortunately he did not give his e-mail address anywhere so we can't contact him. Did you install the aircraft? Do you see any AI aircraft? I don't. Best regards, Bob.
