Higher Landing Elevation

Featured Replies

Hi,Before starting I just wanted to say what an excellent piece of software you have created. My problem appears when I attempt to land in an airport that has an elevation higher than normal (8,000 feet), the majority of the Fs2Crew procedures are created to land almost in MSL. So when I try to do an Approach check at 15,000 feet nothing happens and the rest of the process can't be completed. At the end I have to approach, land, taxi and shut off without the fs2crew voice commander help.I don't know if I'm doing something wrong (let's hope) but I just wanted to know how can I change this situation.Thank You very much, and have a nice day.PS: Good Flights

Are you using the FMC fully with a landing runway selected?Generally, the only possible issue you might have is that the FO will want to turn on the landing lights at 10,000, but everything else should work.

Well I select the arrival in the arrivals page and select the runway for landing, is there something I have missed?

It should okay.Remember that the speech commands are independent of altitude. You can call "Flaps 1", for approach, etc., at any altitude. The only condition is that you be in the right mode as displayed on the FS2Crew panel.Same thing with the approach checklist. Also double check the 'green bar' to ensure the speech recognition system is hearing you correctly.Cheers,

Byoirk thank you very much for all your great help. I believe that my problem was that I didn't change the "status" to approach. Than you and good flights
