February 1, 201115 yr Is there a way to code the panel.cfg file so that one on the Windows opens on the #2 monitor? As it is, everything opens on #1 and then has to be unlocked and dragged to the other monitor.(I've found variations of this question on the forum, but no answer yet.)Many thanks!
February 1, 201115 yr I found that this works for me -- Make sure FS is windowed mode & NOT in VC, then open your secondary panel (window), undock & drag it to the second monitor, Close it . Check it for operation, if good, go back to VC & or Full screen..If you want to keep it like that any time you fly the particular aircraft, save the flight while in Windowed mode & not in VC.Roman FS RTWR SHRS F-111 JoinFS Little Navmap

I usually have a number of such Saved flights for each plane depending on various starting and location scenarios.(Each labeled as Cold and Dark- "CD", Engines running- "ER", Different airports etc.)Be aware that a saved Zoom Out (or In) Setting will restore with a one point difference from what you Saved. You may also have to very slightly adjust positioning of panel or popups when the Saved flight is restored later- but only takes a moment to drag something an 1/8" to look exactly as you saved it.AR
February 1, 201115 yr Author Thanks, guys. I see that this does work as long as I keep the current a/c loaded. But if I switch to another aircraft or exit FS, then reload the original a/c, I'm back where I started. Also see that saving the flight will do the trick, although that mates it with that particular flight only, not the aircraft. I was hoping there was something you could place in the panel.cfg file.(Ain't it amazing what we go through to save 1.5 seconds of "work"?!)Thanks again!

Then it's easy to switch planes as desired.I have a number of Saved flights for all planes I fly- so there is never a need to go back to the original FS aircraft. I never need to reload the aircraft itself- just grab a Flight that suits my mood.Saves lots of time rather than setting up 3 monitors every time with 3 views, panel and every popup.AR
