February 1, 201115 yr Hi everyone,I asked this question in another thread I started but it was OT and got lost in the shuffle. With the FSX version of the Captainsim 757, one big thing I noticed is that the ACE utility does not allow you to block the cabin out like it does in FS9. That is just plain crazy they do not offer that option as FSX takes much more of a hit than FS9 does. Has anyone figured a way to eliminate the cabin or have any suggestions? I searched the Captainsim forums to no avail. Being the community is much larger and more diversified here at Avsim, does anyone have any thoughts or if this is even possible to remove the cabin? I really think that would improve performance dramatically. Thanks in advance.Warm regards, Jeff
February 2, 201115 yr There is no gaurantee that FPS would improve with cabin removal. I have their 767 and the ACE utility does give the option for cabin removal but doing so gains 0 frames, at least on my setup.Bryan.
February 2, 201115 yr Author Hi Bryan,Thanks for your reply. You might be correct about this, however, someone like myself with a mid-range system, I think this would help as the polys would be less without. I was thinking of taking he FS9 ACE configurator and try to point it to the FSX version only if the file names are the same, then thearetically, I could remove the cabin. Just a thought. Warm regards, Jeff
