PSS777 and PSS757

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I have a little issue with the PSS777 and the 757. I run through the normal procedures for both of the planes and somehow I can't connect to the clearance..it's like my radios don't work and my exterior lights don't work either..I can turn the knob on the radio stack but the frequencies don't change..I've been trying to figure this problem out but I'm drawing a blank..oh and once I start the engines and hit Ctrl+E like I would be starting the engines the easy way, then everything turns on; lights and radios work..Any help would be much appreciated, thank you Jason

Start with the default Cessna, turn everything off except the Avionics switch. Then switch to the PSS, and if you want you can save the flight at this point and use it as you default PSS Cold and Dark flight. You need to power up the electrics... either by battery, ground power or APU.On the overhead (left hand side of panel) hit the battery switch. That should power things up, but may drain the battery in time. By going to the "set-up" panel, under Ground Commands, you can choose to connect to ground power, which you then have to select on the overhead panel. You may also start the APU, which will do the same thing. In both cases the battery needs to be selected first. In real world ops the aircraft would be connected to ground power, until 5 - 15 minutes before pushback. Then the APU is started, ground power disconnected, and your electrics, hydraulics and air conditioning duties will be taken over by the APU. Once engines have been started, the APU is turned off and everything then is supplied by the engines.Hope this helps...- daniel

The PSS 777/757 already have the option to start cold/dark without using this edit. It's located on the set page.

And you cannot start the PSS 757 in temps below 0C. I am not sure on the PSS 777. It is a fault with the software by PSS.I have had that fault too. Do what KJ says. Or load a flight from the flights of PSS.Daniel

Jamusz,The only way to fix this is to get a reg version of FSUIPC. What your seeing is a age old bug in FS9 with some addons, the batt will drain even if you have the APU or GPU hooked up, therefore if your preflight is longer then 5 or so minutes you lose comms. FSUIPC has a option to fix it (Extend Batt life) this needs to be set to 0)The PSS products are older then dirt so maybe the newer addons have fixed the issue, I've always had a reg fsuipc so never checked.Regards

See, and I've never had this problem. It takes a little longer for them to fire up but they do.

At minus Celsius temps? The 777 or 757?Daniel

Either one. I fly real world ASE weather North America/Europe with below zero temps and never had them not fire up.The 757 takes a little longer I notice though.I'll try to confirm it after, But don't ever recall it.
