February 4, 201115 yr Install FS9, download the one SP for FS04, place it in your FS9 folder and patch to FS9.1.If on Vista/Win 7 keep things out of the Program Files folder.

February 4, 201115 yr If on Vista/Win 7 keep things out of the Program Files folder.I keep seeing this advice in various forums and various threads and cannot understand why as I have FS9, patched to V9.1, installed in C:\Program Files and it runs without any problems at all.David

It is not a problem under XP.Installing FS somewhere other than under "Program files" will help avoid a large part of the "permission and security" problems.
