For those searching and finding this thread...BE SURE TO BACK UP YOUR FS2002 ORIGINALS before applying the above changes. You may experience a problem with the runway/asphalt textures which will require you to restore some original FS2002 files. I haven't done the procedure in some time, but I had to restore my runway and taxi textures. (runways and such were black)-Greg

Hi, Be aware by doing this, you will broke many terrains texture and stuff that's are not placed in the same area and do not works well, since fs2004 use differents ground tiles, structure, bgl and have 25% more texture file than fs2002. All overcast clouds and clouds will be broken and not accurate. Many texture from fs2004 to fs2002 will be ignored.ThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFs

As long as you make a backup before you start, I still highly recommend copying the FS2004 textures to FS2002. Since doing this, I have almost been exclusively flying FS2002 ans still think it is a better simulator -- just a personal opinion. With the 2004 textures, FS2002 has regained some of that original 'WOW' factor.
