February 9, 201115 yr Pmdg 737600/700/800/900The problem I have is in the 737/700 I program the fmc with the route but fly using atc. When I turn the autopilot on the altitude and heading work fine but the auto throttle won't work at all can anyone help me with this. I think I might be doing something wrong but can't think what this might be.Robin lambert

The PMDG NG is a complex simulation that your going to have to do some homework on if you want to use all of the systems capabilities in the model. Take a look at the documentation that came with the package, the manuals are comprehensive and do a nice job describing the different systems. Also there are a few good tutorials available. Use the forum search function and you should be able to find the links. If not drop another posts and I will dig them up for you.Specifically answering your questions, to get the auto throttle to work properly you need to ensure you have set up the aircraft properly. You need to follow the start-up procedures in the manual. Concerning Speed mode, you need to set the mode you want the auto throttle to use. The systems manual provides further information on how to use the different autopilot and auto throttle modes. George Morris
