February 13, 201115 yr Hi All,I have read that a good cruising speed for the prop is at 260 knots... for the JS4100. However, I am going full speed, making sure I dont overrun the engines so throttles are back a bit as to are the propeller levers, but I can only get 196 knots...Anyone else got this?Regards,Tristan Best Regards, Tristan Marchent - UK fATPL(A) - EMB 195 First Officer System: Intel i7-6700k Skylake CPU, 4 Cores (4.0-4.2GHz, Overlocked 20%), Asus Z170 PRO GAMING MBO, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 8GB, Corsair Hydro H80i V2 CPU Cooler, Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4 3200 C16 2x8GB, Windows 10 Home 64-bit (512GB M.2 PCIe SSD), Prepar3D V4.5 (1TB Samsung 850 EVO SSD), 4TB SSHD Hybrid Drive, EVGA GQ 80 PLUS Gold 850W Modular PSU
February 13, 201115 yr Indicated or true? Your airspeed indicator will be much different then true. One word;Winds. What altitude your cruising? 96% Prop? 10 degrees below max EGT?I know on some heavy flights above FL220 it can take some time for the plane to get off the "hump" and start gaining speed.Lemme know how it goes,Patrick HoughtonIn hindsight winds don't effect True airspeed... Duh.*facepalm*My badPatrick Houghton Patrick Houghton
February 13, 201115 yr Commercial Member To be honest, you're never going to get quoted speeds, or ranges. Ever.Temperature, wind, weight and just about everything else will affect those numbers to the point that you won't ever see them. Kyle Rodgers
