Does PMDG use Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable

Featured Replies

Hi,I am working on a problem with some commercial scenery for FSX that stopped working and it seems that the issue could be with Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable. I notice that I also have version 2008 installed and I am not sure which one of the two new software’s (PMDG MD-11 and REX2) I recently installed requires this. Can you tell me if PMDG software actually use the Visual C++ redistributable? I have the 747-400 & 8I extended package and the MD-11 installed, best software on the market, I am looking forward to the release of the FSX 737 NGX version.

Yes it does - virtually any program coded in C++ needs some version of those libraries installed.
