February 18, 201115 yr I'm wondering if anyone is currently or has usef FS Captain and what your feedback is. I've read a couple reviews but want members feedback and use over a period of time. Thanks,LW
February 18, 201115 yr I've been a user for nearly 10 months and greatly enjoy the "purpose" and the extra bit of realism it can bring to flying. Unless I'm testing some other gizmo, I usually run FS Captain to watch and grade me.The biggest plus in my book is its flexibility. As the user, I can decide on my own airline, my own schedule, my own aircraft and its failure rate, and - to a certain extent - the rules I want applied. I can haul cargo in jumbo solo or with a helpful FO... or I can choose to haul passengers in a Skyhawk with a FO and an attendant. (I guess that would be a maximum of one passenger, but hey I could do that. :( )The developer is a stickler for "getting things right," and is very responsive in his forum to both bug reports and feature requests. Is there anything in particular that you're curious about?
February 18, 201115 yr I'll have to second that. I use FSCap for all of my flights and I like it. I thought it is worth the money. Like Fenric said, the developer is active in his forums, quick to respond, and is open to suggestions.
February 18, 201115 yr Author I read the manual and saw where you could import real world schedules with setting up an real world airline, how does this work in practice, for example setting up Lufthansa and importing schedules and 3rd party a/c?I also read were you have you check in with company as you fly, can you use time acceleration? How does the 1st officer work? Many Thanks!LW

FSCap also generate random charters (if you set it up that way) or you can fly to any airport of your choice if you want.I have used time acceleration with no problems. The FO, he'll call out 80kts, V1, and Vr, takes care of the seat belts, reminds you of your lights, flaps, and barometric pressure. If your plane has Vspeeds configured, you'll see them in your Console (which is a gauge.)What I like about FSCap is the fuel and load planning. You can use the FSCap plane's config to figure out how much you need or you can tweak it to more specific numbers. And with a load map, you can configure in which order you want your load stations loaded and the same with your fuel tanks.
February 18, 201115 yr Author Thanks for the info, I read you can import ai schedules and use in FS Cap for a company. I looked at Alpha India schedule to import and will look at the demo and try and see if it imports correctly.Looks like I will pick this one up.Thanks again,LW
