February 25, 201115 yr Hey,I have just killed my Vista to go down to XP again (whether this was clever is debatable), and after having set everything up I'm now installing FSX. However, it seems to have different files being damaged. These are not consistent but change, i.e. in the first time I tried it was a file on DVD 2, now there was one in DVD 1 and it stopped the setup.Could this be because of a faulty hard drive?!? Or would this be a problem with the DVDs?Thanks,Doc FSX --- Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 overclocked to 3GHz --- HD4650 --- 4GB DDR2 Memory --- Vista 32 Bit Addon Aircraft: Wilco A318-321, Wilco 737 Classic, Wilco 777, Carenado Beech F33A Bonanza Addon Scenery: Aerosoft Bremen, Aerosoft Maldives X, Aerosoft Gibraltar X Addon Utilities: Radar Contact 4, SuperTrafficBoard Others that I can't remember ;-)

February 25, 201115 yr Author I don't get it - Now, the fourth time I'm trying to install FSX it worked. It only got D1Feat~7.cab to be wrong, I clicked "repeat" and it copied without problems. Possibly something to do with a DVD drive problem?Seems to have resolved itself - strangely.Doc FSX --- Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 overclocked to 3GHz --- HD4650 --- 4GB DDR2 Memory --- Vista 32 Bit Addon Aircraft: Wilco A318-321, Wilco 737 Classic, Wilco 777, Carenado Beech F33A Bonanza Addon Scenery: Aerosoft Bremen, Aerosoft Maldives X, Aerosoft Gibraltar X Addon Utilities: Radar Contact 4, SuperTrafficBoard Others that I can't remember ;-)
February 25, 201115 yr Commercial Member You're using XP. It isn't too 'smart' with regards to huge disk sizes. Make certain you have installed all the XP updates and other patches. Ensure you have current drivers for your computer's hardware. Ed Wilson Mindstar AviationMy Playland - I69
