February 25, 201115 yr Firstly, allow me to apologise for my newbieness and naivety on this subject...Am I missing something here... can you edit the so called 'outer regions' that appear in FU III as private fields on FLED, or must if be done separately and imported to FLED.Also, there's all these scenery topics in this forum, but I never see any links despite others thanking them for the link... can you only view them after a certain amount of time/posts?
February 25, 201115 yr In the root installation of your Flight3 there is a file flt3.cfg. Open it with a text editor such as NotePad and add the line iworkheresave it.Now you should be able to edit the existing airports within the hi-res and within the outer terrain.Links do go bad after a bit, as many are not for permanent locations. If a link in question is for a Flt3/Flt2/Flt1 file located in our library; that file could very well be one of the many causalities of the attack on our Avsim library not to long ago.We all welcome you here to the forum.Take Care, jimb dual boot: win8.1pro64bit (primary) | win10pro64bit | mobo: MSI Prestige x570 Creation | cpu and cooler: AMD 5950X; Noctua NH-U12A | ram: 4each 8gb sticks of ddr4-3200 CORSAIR Vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2Z3200C16 | gpu: nvidia RTX2070Super Founders Edition| lcd: LG 24" 4k, LG 24UD58-B
February 26, 201115 yr Hello. As Jim B. says the flight3 cfg. should be modified with:"IWORKHERE"Browse to the site topic Rudder pedals in Fu3 recently posted.http://forum.avsim.net/topic/322432-rudder-pedels-in-flight-unlimited-3/This txt. file is the same old file I was using during fled works during 2000-2002,- working with challenges and UK sceenery at that time.Good luck.Lars Peter.
March 4, 201115 yr Hello King. What OS are you using? If it's XP then you may have a read only flag on your flight3.cfg. Right click on it & select properties from the context menu. Ensure that the 'Attributes' read-only check box is unchecked before modifying it.If you're using Win 7 (the devil's OS...) then I guess that you have FU3 installed in your 'Programs' folder. Win 7 is damn' difficult about allowing the user (or applications) to change anything in that folder or sub-folders so you may want to move or copy the whole Flight 3 folder to a more useful location. FU3 doesn't use the registry so you can just dump a copy anywhere you like. Better still, use XP .Regards,D
