Hello. It is a method to tune down the rapid flashing strobes. Have a go at changing the emitter properties of the fx file pointed to in your aircraft.cfg file eg. [lights] light.1 = 3, 40.40, 0, 10.55, fx_beaconh light.2 = 3, 12.00, 0, -11.00, fx_beaconb light.3 = 3, -102.6, 0.0, 1.75, fx_navwhih light.4 = 2, -102.9, 0.0, 5.65, fx_strobeh GoTo ..\effects\fx_strobeh.fx Open it in notepad and change this value: [Library Effect] Lifetime=5 Version=2.00 Radius=-1 Priority=0 [Properties] [Emitter.0] Lifetime=0.00, 0.00 Delay=0.00, 0.00 Bounce=0.00 No Interpolate=1 Rate=0.50, 0.50 <-----------------------Change this X Emitter Velocity=0.00, 0.00 Y Emitter Velocity=0.00, 0.00 etc. Make all emitter sub codes the same there could be any number of them according to the complexity. Hello. I have never calculated the fps With my mashine, but it is always over 29 whitch is the error value factor for human eyes to discover. That Depends on every mashine With other Addons than mine, Sceenery, Aircrafts, AI flightplans etc. If you have stutters With this high seetings, just tone it Down a little, may be 9.5 or less. My Mashine is : Dell Alionware With Geforce GTX 460 Upgraded drivers only. Lars Peter.

Hello. My first flights with DC-9-40 Was during my military service in Norway 1978 Together with the C-130 Hercules, we was also transported a lot with he DC-9 between Gardermoen AB and Bardufoss AB. Yes Johan.. You are right on the nail. We have seen the same thing with Car design. The Spesial Car design from the 1960-70s has wanished, replaced by boring design cars all over. Aircraft in the future will be the same thing, ugly designs to resolve cost at all price, just to bring a passenger from point A to B. Lars Peter.

Hello. Thank you Amie for uploading the new texture version 0.5 I have installed your version 0.3 beta textures some time ago, an this made a mutch better details for all regions of Fs2004. This was like a new world with mutch better details on my computer. I do not care people arguing with graphicks pixtels sizes "256 here-1024 there". You have to use our own eyes flying the sim, and reflect on what you see clear, or not clear. I just Fly this FS2004 sim during my free time, and enjoying it. It is a way to fly away from the normal world some hours, and have some fun with this sim. Your new Ground texture makes the sim to a new very good experience. Hello. During the 1990-2000 Microsoft Windows series was forced to use both IBM and INTEL original codecs - copyright lincenses by the Companies.. Intstalling new drivers for win.95 or Win.98 the message often came up: "Must be IBM compatible". This is now History, but is nessesary to install Intel video codecs for some old games made for DOS versions - Windows 3.1-Windows 95-Windows 98. Lars Peter. .

Hello. The intro Video is a "DivX"videoformat included by microsoft in Windows 95 an Windows 98 only. This video encoder was left out by the release of Windows XP. Hello Why haven't you switched to FSX? Answer from me very simple. I switched to FSX a long time ago, but use both fs2004 and fsv on the same computer. I stick with fs2004 80% And FSX 20% The fs2004 consept is for me a goldmine for freeware addons, instruments,panels,nav-aids, effects, and new aircrafts flying very good. The FSX is for me a unfinishet product made for Windows Vista, and not the same quality when it comes to flight feeling of the product. A lot of earlier super instruments and panels are not compatible wit FSX. And the fs2004 2d-views settings are missing in FSX FSX has a lot better graphipcs performance, but only this thing. I stick to fs2004. It has it all including a fair setup for multiplayer. Lars Peter.

Hello.Great post, loving this hobby. Myself included.I first started with the Looking Glass studioes flight 2 and 3.Had a great time with the "Pier Glass Aviation" as an active pilot with weekly reports to the internet pilot club.Later the world changed all things by the release of fs9 and Fsx.Still have great flights with both fs9 and fsx. on and off the internet online flying.And not to forget, all outstanding addons made for both fs9 and fsx..It is a pleasure to be a flightsimmer.Thanks.Lars Peter..

Hello Steve.If you are referring to the "Dexter flight company" setup, I think that is not possible to do. There was some years ago addons with the time limit DEXTER COFA addon for flight 3.Trial versions with about 3 months limit each of them.Arrest me if I am wrong.All in all 3 versions made for creating your own flight company with all logs and pay logs for fuel/passengers during several flights.Almost like fspassengers made for fs2004.I have not any spare backups for it. and I do not know any updates for the software.Best regards.Lars Peter..
