September 21, 201411 yr I enjoy flying the Feelthere ERJ_V2 however the rapid flashing of strobes and beacons is unrealistic. Has anyone come up with a fix? I checked the Feelthere website and it appears that the flashing is part of the model and can't be changed. I thought that perhaps some resourceful simmer may have fixed the problem or at least made some improvement. Any suggestions? Thanks! September 21, 201411 yr Administrators I use a freeware program called Flusifix that adjusts beacon and strobe flashes to be more of an intermittent flash as opposed to a synchronized flashing of them together. I know it helped the default and 3rd party freeware aircraft and may help your payware one. http://www.wolfgang-picheta.de/ Charlie AronAVSIM Board of Directors-ADMIN/Moderator-RegistrarJust going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. September 21, 201411 yr Author I found the program you suggested. My biggest concern is that the change will affect ALL my payware aircraft and perhaps not allow me to go easily back to my previous setup. Since the ERJ is the only culprit right know I may wait to see if others jump in here and offer a solution. I am looking at this program closely since it may be useful in some other areas. Thanks! No question that the FT ERJV2 external lighting has problems, but what is it about the PMDG beacons and/or strobes were you trying to fix? After watching some videos of 777s, those darn things are in sync. I also noticed that the "Beacon" and "Nav" lights are considerably brighter in real life, gonna have to mod them with Shockwave. I still contend the "Logo" light is too dark on the PMDG. Speaking of unrealistic lights, in DX 10 my UT2 AI aircraft lights still float above the aircraft, even noticed it on GSX Service Vehicles. Will it ever end? September 22, 201411 yr Hello. It is a method to tune down the rapid flashing strobes. Have a go at changing the emitter properties of the fx file pointed to in your aircraft.cfg file eg. [lights] light.1 = 3, 40.40, 0, 10.55, fx_beaconh light.2 = 3, 12.00, 0, -11.00, fx_beaconb light.3 = 3, -102.6, 0.0, 1.75, fx_navwhih light.4 = 2, -102.9, 0.0, 5.65, fx_strobeh GoTo ..\effects\fx_strobeh.fx Open it in notepad and change this value: [Library Effect] Lifetime=5 Version=2.00 Radius=-1 Priority=0 [Properties] [Emitter.0] Lifetime=0.00, 0.00 Delay=0.00, 0.00 Bounce=0.00 No Interpolate=1 Rate=0.50, 0.50 <-----------------------Change this X Emitter Velocity=0.00, 0.00 Y Emitter Velocity=0.00, 0.00 etc. Make all emitter sub codes the same there could be any number of them according to the complexity. The flashing inside the cockpits is a known problem. There used to be a fix posted on the FeelThere forums, but then the forums were up( ordown)graded and many useful user posts seemed to disappear. Unfortunately I uninstalled the AC so no longer have the fix, but you might try posting in that forum and see what crops up Hans Soule

Lars Peter. Thank you Lars your suggestion worked for me! I fixed the strobes and beacon lights to a much more realistic flashing rate. Anyone trying to fix their ERJ_V2 lights, please use the method Lars outlines above. September 23, 201411 yr I'm having a similar problem. When using Vladimir Gonchar's FSX version ("Touch O' Texas") of the Shupe/Thomas Beech 18 freeware aircraft, the beacon light creates flashes in the cockpit also. This is quite annoying in flight so I have to turn the beacon light off always. Does anyone know if this can be fixed as well so the light doesn't flash inside of the cockpit? Cheers, Alex L.
