"Line up and wait" Edit Voice Pack Mod?

Featured Replies

Has anyone one done an Edit Voice Pack mod to change "taxi into position and hold" to the new "line up and wait"? If so, is it available on the site and what is the file name? Are there any other phraseology mods available here? Thanks in advanceGene

It's included in the options when installing me thinks, instead of ICAO choose IATA.

Thanks AlI think you meant ICAO instead of FAA. I'm using the FAA version and would like it to stay that way. However, you're reply got me thinking (I know... dangerous!). I opened EditVoicepack and found the phrase "Line Up and Wait" under 'Community Modifications', 'Phraseology', 'ICAO'. There are two different ones, listed as AC_TWR_POSITION_AND_HOLD and TWR_AC_POSITION_AND_HOLD - I export both to my Desktop. Then, I imported both to 'My Modifications', 'Phraseology'. I updated the Voicepack (careful to choose 'Change Settings', the speed option I wanted, 'Use FAA Phraseology') and Saved it. Opened FSX and it now says "Line Up and Wait' instead of "Taxi Into Position and Hold".Also did the same to FS9 using EVP 3.1I'm a happy camper!!! Big%20Grin.gif Thanks for your response! :( :( :( BTW - for those interested in why I wanted to do this.... the FAA changed from 'Taxi into Position and Hold' to 'Line Up and Wait' in September of 2010. For me, this make the sim a little closer to - 'as real as it gets'.CheersGene
