March 1, 201115 yr Within the SimRoutes for North Atlantic Tracks, for the "Track" many times the last waypoint is not available anywhere I have searched relative to FS flightplans. For example, in an easterly direction this morning, the last waypoints are listed as follow:Q = GINGAR = NETKIS = BEXETT = GISTIU = NETKIV = BEXETW = GISTIX = XETBOY = ELSOXZ = ATSURAll of the waypoints prior to these are no problem, but these are not listed in the FlightSim Commander database which I usually use to compile my flightplans, and are too difficult to locate useing the FSX map (if per chance they are even located there). Per chance are they included in the Build program I see mentioned by some for flightplans, or any other flightplan program, or does anyone know a simple way to locate them? Possibly am I misinterpreting the term and it is not a waypoint at all but a European coastal approach of some kind?Forgive my ignorance, but any clarification would be appreciated.Respectfully:RTH

They are eastbound "Coastal Fixes"/"Entry Points" for/in the North Atlantic European Routing System (NERS). Generally, they would be selected based on an inbound flight plan route for a specific European destination. I don't know if they are in the FSX database and do not use FlightSim Commander. They are in the Navigraph database used by FSBuild, PMDG and LevelD, for example. Google "North Atlantic European Routing System".Hope this helps some.Claude Regards, Claude Franklin
March 2, 201115 yr Author thanks Claude:I didn't think to try independently the PMDG provisions. Good shot. I sure will use that henceforth. How do you like "FSbuild"?Happy flying:RTH You are partly correct. March 3, 201115 yr thanks Claude:I didn't think to try independently the PMDG provisions. Good shot. Ernie the author of FSB is upgrading it and it now uses Navigraph AIRAC files, plus it also suggest NATS routes. In addition FSBuild will export directly to your PMDG FMS. IMHO well worth the money.Bob
March 3, 201115 yr Author Thanks for the recommendation Bob.I will have to look into FSBuild. Looks like they do have many good looking provisions I have not noticed in other flightplan programs.AFter my first looksee, I do have a few questions:1. In peeking at their sight, I did not see exporting to the PFDG 747 listed, but surely it is included. Possibly could you confirm this?2. Are the AIRAC files included and integral with FSBuild or do you still have to purchase them separately?3. For the NATS routes, are they updated daily or are they just static? (From some consistant and single past date)Respectfully:RTH Hi RTH,I have FSBuild and use it on EVERY flightplan. March 3, 201115 yr 1 FSBuild supports PMDG, Level D, Captain Sim and many, many other formats as well. 2 You have to purchase the navdata updates from navigraph just like you have to for other addons. When you purchase one cycle you purchase navdata for the entire range of products navigraph supports, so if you are already buying navdata for the PMDG 744 then you can download the navdata for FSBuild for free as well. 3 North Atlantic Tracks change daily according to the winds and are not static
March 3, 201115 yr thanks Claude:How do you like "FSbuild"?Happy flying:RTHDitto to Bob's (bobbyjoh)and others replies. FSBuild works quite well and, yes, it exports in the PMDG format.Generally NATS are published twice a day. Nightime tracks (eastbound) around 9:00AM and Daytime tracks (westbound) around 10PM ET. Here's a "non-official" website for NATS -- http://www.blackswan.ch/nat/ Claude Regards, Claude Franklin
