I took a chance and bought the H50 at Best Buy after all of the mediocre reviews I read.When I initially installed it, I set it up at the back of my case as exhaust. My temps were good, but not great.I decided, then, to install the cooler the way Corsair intended. As an intake fan. Low and behold, that did the trick. Idle temps on this processor have gone down to ~31-32C from low 40's and load climbs into the high 50's/low 60's with this overclock. I just have to resign to the fact that not all of the fans at the top are exhaust now.

I bought an H70. Hopefully it turns out well. The reviews are so mixed. Heard its a great cooler but then i have heard its the worst. Just hoping its significantly better than stock

I have the H70. At first I hated it. I didn't have the best mount going on. I since reinstalled it. I have my CPU overclocked to 4.7mhz. During FSX, the temperatures seldom climb out of the 50's. So I'll live with that performance. I will say that I swapped out the corsair fans, and replaced them with Gentle Typhoon AP-15's. In other news, I read that the H60 is coming out soon. Not sure if that will be their flagship product, but worth consideration.

The H50 is great.... but yeah I suppose the fans could be of better quality by being more silent. Personally I'm more worried about the weight and size of the bigger heatsinks ruinning my cpu/pins.

Well it would seem that besides reviewers, the end users are on the whole enjoying their H50/70s. At least in this forum. :Thinking:
