CPU Fan error

Featured Replies

Hi guys, since I installed my new Scythe Mudgen II cooler (Which is working really well!), I get annoyed by a BIOS fan error on startup. It says: CPU fan error F1 to resumeAfter pushing F1 the system is booting and everything is working correct. Why do I get this message and is there a way to get rid of it?

Best regards, Steffen

Did you plug the Mugen to the CPU fan connector in your mobo?

Yes, the fan is working. I didn´t get this messsage from the moment I installed the cooler, it started a bit later.

There's a BIOS option in to ignore the CPU fan

Or you can reduce the rpm limit where it alerts you. If you look at your fan, it takes a couple of seconds to start up, it´s normal. Bjorn
