March 10, 201115 yr That's a good board an a good price too. It has more USB ports and 2 extra SATA 3.I don't know if they have improved the OC tuner for automatic OC, but it's not a good idea generally speaking to let the board overclock for you. You can set the RAM speed independantly to CPU speed using the RAM multiplier
March 10, 201115 yr Author Jep, I think I will get this one. I have some experience with overclocking with Asus boards and it looks quite good and it´s agood price. I don´t thing that I´ll overclock the CPU from the beginn. I will firstly check how good it performs and then I´ll gonna oc it. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
March 11, 201115 yr Author So far I´m considering tis components for the upgrade:1.) i5-2500k2.) Asus P8P67 Rev. 3.0[/url]3.)4GB Corsair xms3 Are these components good and will they harmonise together? Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
March 11, 201115 yr For just 10€ more I would pick these Mushkin 1600 CL7I know memory speed makes little difference, but for 10€ you get the equivalent to 200MHz CPU overclock or something like that.

I´ve read that the i5 can only handle RAM speeds up to 1333 MHz. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
March 12, 201115 yr Look at post #27 In a P67 board, the available RAM speeds are 1066, 1333, 1600, 1833, 2133 and 2400MHz The 1333MHz restriction is just for H67 boards

March 14, 201115 yr Author Another thing: I read on the packages of my cooler (see in sig) that it´s usable with socket LGA 775, 1366 and 1156. Is it also compatible to the Sandy Bridge 1155 socket? Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
