March 4, 201115 yr Hello, When landing my auto breaks don't activate and for some reason they stop me using my manuel breaks after landing if they are armed. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
March 4, 201115 yr Can I assume based on your signature that this is with FS9? Before we start digging into the technical aspects, can I ask please. Have you tried following the flight tutorial?
March 5, 201115 yr We did a few test runs today and it seems to work fine here. Are you using Joystick or yoke or keyboard/mouse? How do you arm the speedbrakes and when?
March 5, 201115 yr Author I usually arm them just before landing using the switch on the overhead panel.
March 29, 201115 yr We are going to give this test another go on a fresh FS9 installation. So far all tests worked perfectly fine for us so I am afraid we are clueless at the moment to what the problem could be. If there were many bugs, we could look into an installation problem, but just this one on its own cant be that. I hope to get the test results tomorrow.
March 30, 201115 yr Commercial Member I tested the 747 on a fresh install of FS9 and the autobrake works in the 2D panel as well as in VC without problems, FSX shows the same. When armed, the autobrake kicks in as soon as the wheels touch the groundSorry, but we really don´t know whats going on with your installation, I could not reproduce it.
July 1, 201114 yr I dont now for sure but... auto breaks (on 2D) has : RTF, OF, 1, 2, 3.But If i set it to 3 and click + (or using mouse wheel) the auto braks knob disapear (just like I set them to 4, but don't have graphic). Then Autobreaks don't work (properly)
July 2, 201114 yr Commercial Member there seems to be a typo in the aircraft.cfg, search for the section [brakes] and change the lineauto_brakes = 5to thisauto_brakes = 4this prevents the knob to be turned too far.
