Winwood files

Featured Replies

Hi,I have been away off site for quite some time and have just now been able to get back. I remember using Winwood files on another computer some time back and can't remember where to go to get them. Could somebody be so kind as to point me in the right direction? Many thanks,John G

The winwood files are installed with RC. They are located on your workstation in your RC folder in a Winwood folder. 3 .wav files are in there and a number of numbered and country labeled folders which correspond to generic voices and your voice options in RC that you select. If you need your RC updated to version 4.3.3845 send a request to [email protected] including the e-mail address you ordered from to get a link.If you are referring to the freeware independently produced limited voice folders from Nick 'Meatwater' Schreger see some threads here and search AVSIM FS9 Miscellaneous section. The first of ten downloads is:MeatWater VocPack for Radar Contact 4 VERSION 2 ## Part 1 of 10 ##

Thanks for that, Ronzie. You mentioned FS9 but I should have said that I am using FSX Sp1. The files I was referring to were the extra files that I downloaded way back then (actually it may have even been when I was using FS9. So to expand my query a bit - will the Meatwater files work with FSX, or are they just for FS9? I have had a look around and found the Meatwater files but I didn't see a mention of FSX. Any further info would be much apprciated.Regards,John G

Most of RC does not depend on whether you are using FS9 or FSX. The major difference is the version of FSUIPC used which RC uses as its interface to each FS version. RC is installed into different folders for each version just to keep scenery data separate for each version so they do not get confused when extracting information from the FS scenery for each version. No differences are in the stock audio files and organization. I think Nick's files would work with either FS.
