Yesterday, I downloaded the new cumulus01.bmp cloud texture, and today my sim was crashing while loading a flight.I tried disabling all modules etc. until I found the cause. Replacing the texture with the older FPS fix, fixed the issue :), Not sure if it's the texture or just me, so giving a heads up to everyone else.Talking about this:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...scen&DLID=39386

I got the exact same results as you did, something in that cloud set is hanging my weather during initial FS9 load also. I did replace all my cloud textures with Chris Willis' FSW cloud fix and everything is back working fine.Bob Johnson

I got the same thing with the clouds replacement...the reason for this is that he decided to make them DXT3 with alpha and not as extended 32 bit 888-8. When I converted them using dxtbmp everything loaded fine after this...although there was an increase in size because of this. :(

Hi, The correct clouds peformance without any problems was released near the release of fs 2004. I had problems with it! Was driving me nuts, then when i removed it, My FS Seems to not hang upon load up!! So I immediately Deleted this Texture!!!

Hello, These files are useless, they have been released from chris willis a while ago I even get better frame rate with chris clouds since they are smaller and they appears better.BestEric
