Default AI Aircraft Carriers

Featured Replies

I've heard that there were some AI Aircraft Carries defaultly in FSX that depart from Naval Station Norfolk, San Francisco, Pearl Harbor, and some other naval base in Washington State on a regular interval, travel a preset route, and then return to harbor a few days later. Do they exist? If so, does anyone know of the timetables of which they arrive/depart? I found an article on www.simtours.com about it, but the times are bull. I've tried them all at the right location, right time, right date, and with traffic set to full and I just got a waste of a few hours. If anyone could help me out, it'd make my day.

As Acceleration is required to see the carriers, do you have it installed?

That probably would have been a good thing for the author of the simtours article to put in. I'll try to nab myself a copy of Accelleration on eBay or Amazon if I find the time to go digging. Thanks.

Also, and this isn't exactly answering your question, but once you do pickup Accel, search the avsim file libraries for AI Carriers v2 and the USS Nimitz by Javier Fernandez. You can then have an awesome carrier package that moves by itself and you can place it wherever you want it. It is landable and is very detailed, all freeware!

FYI the need for Acceleration was noted:http://www.simtours.net/aircraftcarriers.phpThe Acceleration package should be relatively easy to find - Good hunting.
