November 20, 200322 yr Hello!I was wondering if there is any way to use the cloud sets from Skywolrd SE to replace the 2D clouds in FS2004?I can use the 3D clouds in FS2004COF with OK frame rates, but since I have a lower end system (1Ghz), the 2D clouds are still the best choice for smoother sim operations. So if anyone has figured this out, which files in the texture folder would I need to replace with the ones from Skyworld SE.I don't know if this is possible, but it would be nice to be able to upgrade the 2D clouds in FS2004COF just like I did in FS2002.Any feedback is appreciated!Happy Simming!Scott - KCOSATP/CFII - in the real aviation world.
November 21, 200322 yr Commercial Member Hi, There is no 2d clouds, the simple clouds are only less 3d clouds in the sky but they remain 3d. Fs sky world se will not works with fs2004, I am in progress for fs2004 fs sky world, clouds, sky/moon/ sun/environment mode etc. There will be normal resolution which will be realsitic and detailed as much real and lower resolution, but not in dtx3 format which look cartonish/blocky not realistic at all like fs2000.You can download this files for the best clouds performance available for fs2004 withiout any problems on all system and 3d cards http://fsw.simflight.com/FSWFs2k4fix.htmlWeather display in fs2004:You can reduce your clouds draw distant to 30sight distant to 60 and clouds percentage to 100 or lowerThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFshttp://fsw.simflight.com/fsw.jpg Kind RegardsChris Willis
